You Are Invited!
Our Worship is a time of Praise and Prayer to God. It is a time when
we encounter and experience God in many ways -- through song,
through meditation, through dancing, through reading of Scripture,
and through preaching.
The style of Worship at Glendale United Methodist Church is
increasingly "blended" -- that means it is both "contemporary" and
"traditional". We use both a free flowing and guided liturgy, which
includes hymns and "praise songs". The organ and piano, as well
as our hands and our feet, are instruments of our praise.
We prayerfully desire that ALL PEOPLE will feel welcome in our
worship...to express their praise and offer their prayers to God in
many ways. For we believe the Word of God which invites us to:
"Praise God in his holy house of worship,
praise him under the open skies;
Praise him for his acts of power,
praise him for his magnificent greatness;
Praise with a blast on the trumpet,
praise by strumming soft strings;
Praise him with castanets and dance,
praise him with banjo and flute,
Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum,
praise him with fiddles and mandolin.
Let every living, breathing creature praise God!
