Pastor Gerald "Jay" Williams
|
About the Pastor
Pastor Williams is a provisional elder and commissioned minister seeking
ordination in the United Methodist Church. He serves Glendale United
Methodist Church in Everett, Massachusetts. As an activist and public speaker
in the modern-day abolitionist movement, Jay has twice traveled to Sudan,
Africa to help free slaves and document the effects of genocide.
Jay also studies the Afro-Brazilian “dance-fight-game” known as capoeira,
which was developed by former slaves for self-defense and masked as sport.
And though he is not fond of snowy weather, Jay is a proud native of Buffalo,
NY, where his family resides.
